We are excited to unveil the Program Schedule for the first edition of Cinema at Sea - Okinawa Pan-Pacific Film Industry Forum.

The Industry Forum will kick off on Tuesday, 28 November with the Cinema at Sea Pitching Forum. Furthermore, it will feature Forum Talks, such as “What is a good producer and where do I find them?”, where producers talk with Moderator Eric Nyari about their experiences and share advice with the audience. On 29 November, veteran filmmaker Amir Naderi will give a masterclass on “The Art of Filmmaking”.

Industry Panellists, such as Keiko Funato (Alpha Violet), Teruhisa Yamamoto (Disney Japan), Taiwanese producer Justine O. and Filipino producer Will Manalang will talk about co-production opportunities and share insights into their work and their previous productions.

Cinema at Sea Pitching Forum serves as a platform where emerging filmmakers showcase their projects to local and international decision makers. It gathers talented directors and producers from across the Pan-Pacific region, spanning from South America's Peru to Oceania's New Zealand, Tonga, and Australia. It also includes talents from East Asia, Southeast Asia—Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan—and Japan. Stories born from diverse genres and perspectives carry unique individuality, enriched by the distinctive cultural and societal backgrounds behind each narrative.

Okinawa Film Office is a film commission run by Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau. We provide a variety of support services related to filming, including location hunting, information on applying for permits, and cooperating with screening events.
