『Only the Mountain Remains』
Director: Wei Liang Chiang
2018/31 minutes/Taiwan/VR
Fleeing from southern Taiwan, a pregnant Thai migrant enlists the help of an Indonesian runaway to locate her child's father, who disappeared in the mountains. Their plans at a deserted petrol station are abruptly disrupted by a police encounter, forcing them to make a swift escape. The unique filming technique employs a VR camera inside the car, allowing the director to seamlessly shift between interior and exterior perspectives, creating a continuous long take interspersed with surreal imagery.
