『Small Island Big Song』
Director: Tim Cole
2019/82 minutes/Taiwan, Australia/Various/FHD
"Small Island Big Song" is a profound collaboration among artists from the Pacific and Indian Oceans, exploring ancient musical traditions across 16 island nations. Filmed over three years, the project spans from Madagascar to Rapa Nui/Easter Island and Taiwan to Zenadth Kes/The Torres Strait, capturing the voices and cultures of these diverse communities. Through songs, film, live performances, and educational initiatives, the project champions environmental awareness and cultural preservation, driven by the artists' concerns for the ocean. Taiwanese producer BaoBao Chen and Australian music producer/filmmaker Tim Cole embarked on this journey, resulting in two award-winning albums, a feature film, and a global concert tour.
