Set in the 1980s, it follows Elaine, who grew up in poverty, and her best friend Ying as they venture into the Hong Kong entertainment industry in search of a better life. In the midst of the city's cinematic golden age, Ying rises to fame as an erotic star, while Elaine grapples with her identity and acting career. However, as the glory days of Hong Kong cinema fade away a decade later, the disparate choices made by the two women lead them down separate paths in life.

Tracy Choi
Choi Ian Sin (Tracy) is a film director born and raised in Macau. Aspiring to be a film director, she left Macau to study filmmaking in Taiwan. Tracy’s first feature film “Sisterhood” (2016) was chosen for the 1st Macau International Film Festival competition and received the Macau Audience Award. She also earned two nominations at the 36th Hong Kong Film Award and won awards at various international film festivals.
